Default How much costs Icy dragon sword?

Hello. - New member of this forum. I came to ask two questions.

1. How much costs Icy dragon sword?

2. Have you all any good examples about good swords or axes? And not very much costing. I think, that Icy dragon sword costs very much...

Thank you!

Welcome to Guru.

The IDS costs as much as a seller is wanting to sell it for, or as a buyer is willing to spent on. I remember they went for 20k in the old days, but I wouldn't give more than 5k for it now. Could be wrong though, but they aren't high in demand anymore.

There are no good or bad swords and axes. Every weapon has a max damage range, and you will encounter those fairly early in each campaign. Just play the game, kill foes and tou will end up with a good weapon soon enough.

For more of this basic information, the wiki is good place to start.

1.Generally, you can get the Tyrian version and Traveler version for less than 10k. Just hope people are actually selling them and you may get quite a deal.

2.There are no good or bad swords and axes, unless you are referring to mods. Trust me when I say you shouldn't worry, as you will get many more than you can actually use just traveling around, even in the "rare" variety.

Guild Wars has max damage weapons that can only be improved by the player modifying them with various items. There are no "uber" damage weapons. This Weapons page in the wiki http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Weapon will show you the max damage range for each type of weapon. If you find or someone wants to sell you one with less damage, then it is non-max and worth nothing except to the merchant NPC.

There are also "green" or "unique" weapons that are max damage and already modified. These can be gotten through drops from bosses or purchased from other players or as end-game rewards in each campaign. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Unique_item

You can also get weapons from collectors in exchange for dropped items. In early areas of Prophecies, these will not be max. http://wiki.guildwars.com/wiki/Collector_weapon

Just three days ago I sold mine from my Nicholas gift for 19K plus an elite Dervish Tome. Within 20 minutes of getting the gift I had 5 inquiries about it. But as posted earlier as with any item it all depends on what the buyer is willing to pay.

I had two Nick IDS that I couldn't unload, so I ended up giving them away to newbies in Shing Jea.

It's good to note that the Icy Dragon Sword that come from Nicholas carry an inscription slot, which potentially can make it much more powerful than the ones that drop from enemies. (The ones that come from enemy drops don't have one.)

That alone can differ the asking price.

No, they come 15^50 so the inscribable ones from Nick are more versatile but not more powerful, especially as most people will probably put a 15^50 on it anyhow.

Strength and Honor
Guided by Fate
Dance with Death
Too Much Information
To the Pain!
Brawn over Brains
Vengeance is Mine
Don't Fear the Reaper

They all increase damage output, though under different circumstances, so yes. They can be made more powerful.
